Senior Application Developer
Innogenetics is an international biopharmaceutical company, based in Ghent.
Its Diagnostics unit applies its research and know-how in molecular biology, immunology, and virology to build a business of specialty diagnostics products in the areas of infectious diseases, neuro degeneration and genetic testing.
The job

You gather the requirements and analyse, design and implement high complex software by using state of the art knowledge of computer techniques in order to support the development and sales of diagnostic kits.

You evaluate and integrate 3rd party software in order to fulfil software needs not appropriate for in-house development.

You implement internal applications to support assay development, process development, discovery and operations.

You set up verification strategies and plans in order to test, debug and improve the full software framework (including legacy systems and 3rd party tools) from A to Z so that high qualitative software can be delivered taking into account the functional and quality requirements and the project timelines.

You provide the necessary documentation and guarantee software quality and regulatory requirements, like security and electronic record aspects, in order to make generate applications that comply with CE, FDA and ISO standards.

You inspect software from top to bottom in order to solve complex problems (reported by Customer Support) accurately and ASAP.

You evaluate the potential and opportunities for the organisation (= software technology trend watching) in order to be able to formulate recommendations regarding the most appropriate actual technologies.
Profile
- University degree in Computer Sciences
- At least 5 years experience
- Software conceptual & architectural skills
- Knowledge of software & database optimization techniques.
- Development using Delphi, C#, .NET , SQL, XML, virtualisation, Windows XP, Windows 7
- Experience with Interbase, Firebird, SQL Server
- Able to manage a small network, network communictation (TCP/IP), IIS
- Experience with web based interfacing (e.g. Silverlight)
- Experience with bug tracking and version mgt. systems
- Experience with configuration and release mgt.
- Experience with testing strategies (a.o. formal code reviews, unit testing)
- Affinity with development in a regulated environment
